Taking out a load-bearing wall is not a demolition question, it is a load-path question: whatever that wall was carrying has to be picked up by a beam and carried down through posts to a footing that can take it. Skipping the engineering here is how ceilings sag, floors above bounce, and drywall cracks reappear a year later.
We start by determining what the wall is actually doing, get the beam and post sizing engineered, permit the structural work, shore the structure temporarily, and then remove and rebuild. The finish detail matters too — a flush beam and a continuous ceiling plane, not a bulkhead announcing where the wall used to be.

How do you know if a wall is load-bearing?
It has to be determined, not guessed. What a wall carries gets established by opening it where necessary and following the load from the framing above, down through the floor, to the footing. Until that is known a Miami-Dade wall removal cannot honestly be designed or priced, and we will not quote one on assumption.
Common assumptions, that interior walls are non-structural or that walls parallel to joists are safe, are wrong often enough to be useless as a rule.
What holds the house up while the wall is out?
Temporary shoring, set on both sides of the opening and carried down to something that can take the load. It goes in before demolition starts and stays until the beam and its posts are installed and bearing. On a two-story house it may need to continue through the floor below. Skipping it is how floors above end up settling.
Where the shoring lands matters as much as that it exists. Set it on an unsupported span and you have moved the problem, which is why the shoring plan comes off the same drawings as the beam.
